Son et Lumière is an international summer school which aims at providing a complete survey of phonons and photons dynamics at nanoscale. In particular, several fields connected to nanophononics and nanophotonics will be presented and discussed through tutorial lectures and some specialized seminars and posters sessions :
- ultrafast phononics (picosecond acoustics, coherent acoustic and optical phonons)
- phononic crystal (superlattices, supra-crystals, bands structures calculations)
- photonic crystal (opals, photonic crystal fibers)
- phonon photogeneration processes (electron-phonon coupling mechanisms)
- ultrafast techniques for generation and detection phonons in condensed matter (UV-VIS- IR femtoseconde laser, THz sources and ultrashort X-ray pulse, ..)
- light scattering in nanostructures
- non-linear acoustics (solitons )
That school is dedicated to post-graduate and post-doctoral students and to any researchers whose current or future topics is in the field of nanophononics and nanophotonics.
Son et Lumière is organized by the CNRS in collaboration with several academic partners and scientific Network.
